SEETECH´s DRAGON® is a case‐free headlamp aiming system. Dragon is composed of a state‐of‐the‐art machine vision system, it´s very own electronics, IT equipment and regulation software.
Dragon‐FT: equipment for carrying forward photometric tests by means of machine vision; Dragon‐TS: equipment designed for quality control areas; Dragon‐PR: equipment designed for assembly plants, where time is of the essence; Dragon‐TSPR: combination of TS and PR equipment; Dragon‐ITV: designed for vehicle inspection authorities.
For the first time in headlamp aiming history, it is no longer necessary to place the equipment in front of the headlamp in question. The system will remain motionless, avoiding damages and wearing of materials.
Through acquisition of a real‐time image, the software calculates the exact position of projection for the headlamp, whilst the power tools adjust the elevation of the headlamp.
EU Patent: PCT/IB2006/054405 USA and ASIA: Patent Pending
The Dragon equipment is able to regulate passing and driving beams, as well as fog lamps, regardless of whether these are xenon, halogen, AFS, LEDs, etc.
The system, which will never become obsolete, (through personalization) is capable of adjusting any kind of headlamps. The criteria that the equipment follows in order to determine the correct adjustment are the headlamp standards. These standards can be later adjusted to suit design specifications, at our client´s request.
Adjustment speed per headlamp is between 2 – 8 seconds (speed average based on 9 different models from various manufacturers). Several communication options: serial, parallel, RS 232, RS422, RS485, wireless, Ethernet.
The criteria that the equipment follows in order to determine the correct adjustment are the headlamp standards.
These standards can be later adjusted to suit design specifications, at our client´s request. Our equipment meets a wide range of standards from all of ECE (European) standards to SAE (USA, JAPAN).
A tridimensional machine vision system automatically calculates headlamp positions and adjusts internal values for perfect regulation, with an adjustment precision of +/‐ 0.5 cm at 25 meters.
